A Rose In Bloom

Better than I could be. Not as good as I’d planned.

Summer Semester
Since I've realized that my life will eternally exist in the realm of the academic calendar it's fun to say that summer is here. Things around the office are quiet, very quiet. All of the students are gone except for the brave few tackling summer sessions and the six student workers in our office. Last Friday was my first offical day of summer and so far, so good. The pace of life in the office is much slower which is nice and not so nice at the same time. It's been a bit of a challenge adjusting to the calm quietness when I had gotten so good at the frantic pace at which we usually operate. But now we're taking long lunches, making Sonic runs, staying out way too late...I'm enjoying every minute of it!

I've already made some travel plans for the summer in hopes of making up for the extreme boredom I suffered last summer during my in between/transition/no money phase. The Texas heat is already scorching and the mosquitos are around at sunset which is unfortunate, but then again the iced tea is flowing and the evenings are long and leisurely. Welcome summertime.
